“Terra Nova” on Fox is still in the wind on whether or not it will continue and some of the actors have of course signed up for other gigs.
The latest actor is Landon Liboiron, who played Josh Shannon, the whiny guy who gave teen angst an overall bad name, has signed on to play a part on Eli Roth’s new series called Hemlock Grove. He’ll play Peter, the son of Famke Janssen’s character.
As reported by THR,
The 13-episode horror show from director/executive producer Eli Roth is set in a ravaged Pennsylvania steel town and begins with the discovery of a young girl’s body.
With Terra Nova up in the air as to whether it will get picked up, Landon is following some of the other actors who have also signed up to other projects, like Jason O’Mara, Stephen Lang, and Allison Miller. But if the show came back Lang and O’Mara would be back as the studio behind Terra Nova has made sure they left an option open for these actors.
After just a single season, Fox’s “Terra Nova” has been cancelled.
The show, from executive producers Steven Spielberg, Peter Chernin, René Echevarria and Brannon Braga, followed an ordinary family, the Shannons, on a journey back in time to prehistoric Earth as part of an experiment to save mankind. It starred Stephen Lang, Jason O’Mara, Shelley Conn, Landon Liboiron, Naomi Scott and Alana Mansour.
There is the possibility that a new network could step in and pick up the series, but, at the moment, the future (or, depending on how you look at it, the past) of the Shannon family looks grim.
